Chemtrails - My Favourite 'Conspiracy Theory'

I have no idea - yet - what I think of chemtrails. But what I do know is that if you mention them on social media and even, in fact, in red-pilled groups like my Telegram channel, you get an unusual amount of angry resistance. You get people who were on your side - or claim to have been - up to that point saying: “Enough already. You’ve lost me with this one.”

To understand why this is, I think you need to take a step back and ask yourself: what is the fundamental problem that Normies have with all conspiracy theories? I can tell you the answer because not so long ago I was one of those Normies myself and I remember my objections distinctly. What I couldn’t grasp above all was the motivation. ‘But what possible reason could the U.S. government have for faking a terrorist attack and deliberately murdering nearly 3,000 of its own people?’ I wondered when I first heard 9/11 Truthers advancing their obviously impossible theory. No matter how much evidence they had presented me, I wouldn’t have believed it because it jarred so discordantly with my entire Weltanschauung.

If your brain is fixed on a particular understanding of the world, then it takes a lot more than facts to shake you out of your preconceptions. It’s why, as I often say, you cannot truth-bomb Normies into enlightenment. If anything, the more cast-iron evidence you throw at them the more resistant they grow because they just think you’re trying to pull some devious trick on them and draw them into the community of all those weird people you hang out with, whom they despise as dangerous influences…

So why, of all conspiracy theories, do Normies (and even some rabbit-holers) find ‘chemtrails’ so particularly difficult to swallow? I think it has to do with the scale of the evil involved. Compare and contrast with, say, the JFK assassination. This is a fairly entry-level conspiracy theory because it really isn’t hard to believe that lots of different powerful interest groups might wish to assassinate a US president and that they might have the wherewithal to cover it up. Most people still don’t want to go even that far. But they know that if they did they wouldn’t face social ostracism: after all, Oliver Stone made a Hollywood movie about it, and even the BBC has run documentaries sceptical of the Lee Harvey Oswald lone gunman narrative.

‘Chemtrails’ on the other hand place you beyond the pale by requiring you to accept the unthinkable: that there is, out there, a shadowy overlord class so evil that it has been deliberately poisoning us with airborne chemicals for several decades and so powerful that it has been able to do all this with impunity and in near-total secrecy. To believe such a thing you’d have to be bonkers, right? It goes against almost everything most of us believe about the rich and powerful: ‘Sure they’re arrogant and remote and maybe they got their money by crooked means but the way they feel towards us ordinary folk is indifference, not hatred’. And it goes against almost everything most of us believe about the way the world works: that if there were such a conspiracy to poison the human race it would never be allowed to happen because our media would certainly expose it and one or other of the government institutions designed to regulate us and protect us would make damn sure the people responsible were put in prison.

Until I’ve done more research into chemtrails, I’m perfectly prepared to accept that they might be a red herring, even a kind of false-flag conspiracy theory designed to tarnish other conspiracy theories by association. But I’m equally prepared to believe that they could be legit. What I’ve found with most of the conspiracy theories I’ve investigated so far is that my initial scepticism soon dissolved in the face of overwhelming evidence. AIDS, for example. Before I looked into it, I would have thought it utterly preposterous, even insultingly offensive, to argue that HIV didn’t cause AIDS, or that Freddie Mercury was more likely have been killed by AZT (the supposed miracle cure) than by a deadly and tragic gay plague. What you begin to realise, after a time, though, is that ‘utterly preposterous’ and ‘insultingly offensive’ and, indeed, ‘kookily tin-foil hat’ are notions that have been embedded in your consciousness by the people and institutions who don’t want you to do that research in the first place. What you also begin to realise is that it’s not a case of ‘one or two conspiracy theories might be viable but the rest are all rubbish.’ The reason most ‘conspiracy theorists’ subscribe to the full set rather than a few cherry-picked rare exceptions is that this is the astonishing lesson of the rabbit hole: it’s all true, the whole damn lot of it.

One thing I’ve noticed: a lot more people are countenancing the existence of chemtrails than ever previously. The only reason I started talking about them myself or even thinking about them was because of the volume of people’s posts on social media with incriminating photos of mysterious cloud activity over their homes and observations about the effects that this apparent high-level spraying was having on local weather, on their breathing, on their crops etc. So either chemtrail activity - if that’s what it is - has grown more blatant of late; or, people are now feeling much less reluctant (notwithstanding what I said above) to put up posts exposing themselves as crazy conspiracy theorists.

Possibly, it’s a case of both. I know some of us are frustrated at the pace of the Great Awakening: how come so many are still asleep? But actually, I believe we are experiencing a major shift in public understanding - the kind that Clif High has been predicting in his podcasts - simply because The Powers That Be (or, as I call them, the Predator Class) are approaching the end game of their master plan to enslave us all and are becoming so shameless and blatant it’s as if they’re no longer even bothering to hide what they are doing. Certainly, if there’s a case to be made against ‘chemtrails’, it’s not going to be decided by the motive fallacy. What with the vaccines that aren’t vaccines, the faked pandemic, the mask nonsense, the CCP-inspired lockdowns and so on, many of us now know beyond all reasonable doubt, that our shadowy overlords really do hate us and want to kill us or enslave us. The question is no longer ‘why?’, only ‘how?’.
